Tutors
- For students at the University:
Advanced undergraduate students in French and Italian offer free tutoring during the academic year to students who need help with developing their linguistic skills. A schedule for free peer tutors is posted on the department bulletin board at the beginning of each semester. Advanced undergraduate students interested in becoming a tutor can contact Judith Preckshot at preck001@umn.edu. We are in especial need of qualified Italian tutors. It is a volunteer position, and we ask to commit only one hour per week.
Students are encouraged to attend their instructor’s office hours for help whenever possible.

These people provide an unofficial service of the Department, which does not screen individuals as to competency, guarantee service, nor investigate prices.
