Graduate Courses

Courses for Nonmajors

All courses are open to nonmajors and nonminors who meet all course prerequisites. Advanced courses in literature, linguistics, civilization, and culture are especially recommended if you would like to learn about French and Italian culture.

Nonmajors and nonminors registering for 3xxx-level courses

Nonmajors and nonminors who meet course prerequisites for and intend to register for 3xxx-level courses taught in French or Italian are strongly encouraged to consult with the director of undergraduate studies about the possibility of earning at least a minor in French or Italian. Departmental courses taught in English are designed for nonmajors and nonminors.
